The Dutch Stylist collaborates with The Plant Styling Company, a specialized service that enhances spaces with living plants in designer pots, providing the perfect finishing touch.

These plants not only bring fresh energy to your home but also enhance your professionally styled space in a cost-effective way. They can attract more buyers and potentially boost your sale price.

Each Plant Styling package includes 6 weeks of plant rental, along with installation, collection, and ongoing maintenance. The Dutch Stylist will need access to your property throughout the contract period to ensure proper care and upkeep of the plants.

Is property styling worth the investment?

Professional styling is a proven way to increase your property’s sale price. The return on investment is usually around 10 x the cost of your styling, but can be also be far more.

Our stylists are experienced and skilled at using various strategies to enhance the appeal of your property and attract interest from as many potential buyers as possible. Real estate agents from all around Sydney recommend our services because they know we deliver results.

Where do your furniture and accessories come from?

Our range is sourced both locally and internationally and includes custom made pieces, specially commissioned for styling.

Does someone. need to be onsite during the installation?
Once we have access to your property, no one needs to be present during installation. In fact, we are most efficient working in an undisturbed environment and it's always best for you to view the final transformation in its entirety!

What if we don’t like what you’ve chosen?

Whenever we style a property our team looks at it from an objective and strategic view. We decide what items to include based on factors such as space, light, layout and purpose, as well as what will most appeal to your target market. We hope that you’ll trust our judgement but, of course, if there’s something you feel is not right, let us know and we will work with you to get a perfect final result.

What are your payment terms?

Full payment is required at time of confirmation and to secure your preferred or earliest available installation date. Payment can be made via credit card and bank transfer.

Joyce has a natural talent and inherent understanding of good design and styling principles. She was able to transform our property from an almost blank canvas into a sophisticated, stylish city apartment with clearly defined functional areas within each space. By presenting our home so well, we were successful in selling our apartment after only a couple of weeks of it being on the market. Joyce’s professionalism and excellent communication made the whole process very smooth and stress free. I would highly recommend using The Dutch Stylist to anyone requiring property styling.

  • PAYMENT
    Full payment is required on acceptance and return of the signed quote. The full balance is due 7 days prior to installation. We strictly will not install furniture until full payment is received. If for any reason balance payments have failed to be transferred within 24 hours after installation, removal of our furniture & décor items will be organised immediately and payments will not be refundable. Payments after installation or change of mind are not refundable.

    Should the property sell prior to the contract expiry date, The Dutch Stylist reserves the right to collect the stock once the free period commences.

    BOND
    We require a $1000 bond in the event of damage or unforeseen circumstances. By signing the authorisation form authorises The Dutch Stylist to charge for damages caused during time at the property. If stock has been returned damaged, the bond will be deducted accordingly. 

    DAMAGE
    All The Dutch Stylist furniture and accessories are for display purposes only and are not intended for use. Once the goods are delivered, they are outside of The Dutch Stylist’s control. Any damage to the goods throughout the duration of the hire period is solely the client’s responsibility. The client must ensure that the goods are returned free of damage. Cleaning, repair and/or replacement costs are applicable to any product that is returned soiled or damaged. Damage items will be invoiced accordingly. Please note, this also includes damage to accessories or cushions that are left outside and are damaged due to weather or sun exposure. For clarification, client refers to the person who is named on the order, not necessarily the homeowner.

    CANCELLATION POLICY 
    The Dutch Stylist requires five (5) business days’ notice to cancel or re-schedule a delivery or collection. In the event a delivery or collection is cancelled or re-scheduled within this period, a fee of $800 will be incurred. 

    POSTPONED DELIVERY REQUEST
    A fee of $650.00 will apply should the Order be postponed within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery date. If the lift has not been booked by the client and The Dutch Stylist is onsite and cannot access the property that day, a fee of $600.00 will be charged. Any delay under 30 minutes is acceptable and a fee will not be charged. However, over 30 minutes a fee of $200.00 per hour will be applied.

    CHANGE OF MIND
    We do not refund for change of mind once furniture has been installed. We do not revise quotes if furniture has been delivered but not used. Please be sure to read over the proposal before accepting.

    REFUNDS
    Refunds are not provided if the property sells prior to the end of the initial rental contract and the order is collected prior to expiry / for change of mind / if items are returned early or on the day of delivery.

    FURNITURE RETURNS/SWAP
    We reserve the right to refuse unreasonable requests for swapping furniture based on personal taste. We will happily swap furniture if it is damaged i.e. major cracks and chips. Upon delivery, if the client changes their mind and would like to swap and item, a swap fee starting from $150 will apply. The re-delivery of the replacement item will be subject to our delivery team’s next availability. Please note no refunds apply for change of mind.

    ADDING FURNITURE
    Additional furniture pieces added will be charged per item plus delivery and install.

    INSTALLATIONS/DELIVERIES
    The Dutch Stylist will provide an indicative time for delivery, which is typically a two-hour window between the hours of 8am and 3pm. It is recommended that property photography is not scheduled on the same day as installation, as completion times can vary and are not guaranteed. The client is required to provide access to the The Dutch Stylist delivery team onsite to accept the delivery. The property or space must be prepared for installation prior to the team’s arrival. This includes removing any unwanted items that are in the rooms or access paths to the rooms that will be styled. The Dutch Stylist is not responsible for moving anything that does not belong to The Dutch Stylist and may refuse to deliver if there are obstructions preventing a safe and seamless delivery. In the event the delivery team does move items that do not belong to The Dutch Stylist, no responsibility will be taken for any damage done to the item or property. All trades and cleaners must be finished prior to delivery. Please note that The Dutch Stylist are not able to install if the site is not safe for the team, works are still being carried out at the property or the walls are wet with paint. If a delivery or collection cannot take place due to the property or client not being ready, or due to an unsafe site, a fee of $800 will apply. For OH&S reasons, our delivery team must wear shoes while carrying goods in and out of the property.

    COLLECTIONS
    It is solely the clients responsibility to book the collection of The Dutch Stylist stock. The Dutch Stylist does not automatically collect the stock on the date of the contract expiry. The client must phone or email to arrange collection at least five (5) business days prior to the contract expiry date. If the client would like to extend the rental contract or if the collection had not been requested, the rental contract will continue on a weekly basis until collection is booked. The client is required provide access to the property for the collection to the team. Please note that there may be a lead time of up to two (2) weeks book a collection. If an urgent collection is required, additional fees may apply.

    ART / MIRROR HANGING
    As part of our services, The Dutch Stylist can hang art and / or mirrors. Please note that permanent wall anchors will be used. The client is required to obtain owner consent prior to installation. The Dutch Stylist is not liable for any damages or make good.

    Under no circumstances will the The Dutch Stylist team hang art that does not belong to The Dutch Stylist. If the client intends to hang art / mirrors themselves, or via a third party, no modifications are to be made to the art in order to hang it. Art must be hung via the string (if the art is strung) or via the two hooks/rings (if the art is not strung). Under no circumstances can art be strung, if it is not already strung, or relocate the hooks on the back of the art/mirror. Sticky hooks cannot be used to hang any of our art or mirrors, permanent wall anchors must be used.

    TIPS
    We suggest that you take digital photos of the rooms and furniture styled, so that you can easily re-set up the room for your open for inspections, photos, videos or other marketing materials. Alternatively, we would recommend to opt for the additional service ‘Open home styling’.
